We hear a lot about how amazing Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of Facebook, is… she is extraordinarily smart, is credited with the “adulting” of FB, presented with great clarity at Davos… and yet on the FB board not a single female… in fact this has so fired up a group of young people that there is now a campaign, FACE IT, demanding female representation on their board… In the succinct words of the campaign group “The reason is that Facebook has announced a $5 billion IPO—with a corporate board composed exclusively of white men. We believe that this board of white men should include women of all colors. Because Facebook should go public with a board that reflects its own mission—to make the world more open and connected.
Simple as that.” LOVE IT… and this is why I want to work with young women…
