Baking the present for the future

I had a meeting today and one of the guys asked what was next… Startled at first and then quite eloquent I thought, I just spoke what my truth is currently… and he reflected back something quite powerful to me – “I don’t think you realise actually how clear you are about what you want to do”… it made me think that given my dramatic personality and the love I have for drama and emotions I don’t come to a decision or see the next part of my career move through analytic thought or cerebral ponderings… rather they just appear to arrive after being baked in emotional juices in my solar plexus… This little piece was sent to me and I thought it rather fitting for today:
The Real Work
By Wendell Berry
(1934 – )

we have come to our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.
