Trusting my tooth

I am looking for a metaphysical link between my tooth which may need root canal work and the upcoming Boot&Soul Camp… maybe it is my way of stopping endless preparation and over-thinking by just having a brain-numbing pain in my head… either way I am reading tooth affirmations ūüôā and trusting that it will settle in the next 24 hours… my dentist-to-the-stars swooped into the surgery, prodded and pushed and announced there is some bruising and within a day it will either settle down or blow up and if so I will be dispatched to the endontist before I leave on Thursday… I am summoning all my esoteric beliefs to help the tooth settle (and taking panadol)…

Predictors of Success

What a privilege … I was lucky enough to attend an event yesterday with Leslie Pratch, who was out from the US… What an astonishing presentation – extremely rare that you wish the presenter had spoken way longer… She runs a business that predicts performance of senior leaders by examining whether they have the psychological resources and strength of personality to succeed. She does this through a battery of tests she has created called “Active Coping Assessments” to really understand your coping skills… What was fascinating was taking the concept of personality and internal drivers and providing a non-emotional scientific argument… Check out her blog in the Harvard Business Review about why underpinning the success of senior women is the need for self confidence… the talk was a fascinating view of how the use of deep psychological examination in corporate life is really about behavioural due diligence… LOVED IT.

Boot&Soul here we come…

Mel and I just had our final session in preparation for Boot & Soul Camp… it is looking awesome… we’re both really excited and have a beautiful group of women attending… still place for a few more though… So delighted my prayer to the Universe is underway…

Our body’s language

It’s only recently that I have stopped being apologetic for talking about the importance of somatic awareness as a part of leadership… recognising where we hold our anxiety, fear, anger or any other emotion and how that in someway clouds us or diminishes us if we’re unconscious… These pre-verbal clues provide us with such clarity if we listen quietly…
