What a privilege … I was lucky enough to attend an event yesterday with Leslie Pratch, who was out from the US… What an astonishing presentation – extremely rare that you wish the presenter had spoken way longer… She runs a business that predicts performance of senior leaders by examining whether they have the psychological resources and strength of personality to succeed. She does this through a battery of tests she has created called “Active Coping Assessments” to really understand your coping skills… What was fascinating was taking the concept of personality and internal drivers and providing a non-emotional scientific argument… Check out her blog in the Harvard Business Review about why underpinning the success of senior women is the need for self confidence… the talk was a fascinating view of how the use of deep psychological examination in corporate life is really about behavioural due diligence… LOVED IT.
